Welcome to the Village: A Vision for Sacred Community and Shared Purpose
Imagining a space where we live, grow, and serve together—a real-world sanctuary for spiritual practice, mutual support, and collective transformation
Imagine a place where the air feels lighter, not because of altitude, but because of the collective intention to live with purpose, compassion, and joy. A place where spiritual practice isn't confined to Sunday mornings but woven into the fabric of everyday life. Where community isn't just a buzzword but a lived experience—neighbors becoming chosen family, and shared meals becoming sacred rituals. This is the vision that animates New Thought Media Network and the dream we're bringing into form through New Thought Village.
New Thought Media Network has always been more than a digital platform. It's a global broadcast network of positive music, media, and entertainment, serving humanity's evolution along the journey of enlightenment. We are creating a world of love, peace, empowerment, and prosperity for all . It's a sacred space where seekers and teachers, artists and activists, come together to co-create a world that works for all. But as much as we cherish our digital sanctuary, we've always known that the next step is to ground our vision in physical reality.
Enter New Thought Village—a bold initiative to manifest a living, breathing community rooted in the principles of love, peace, empowerment, and prosperity for all. This isn't just about building homes; it's about cultivating a way of life that reflects our highest aspirations. Imagine a village where every structure is designed with intention, every gathering is an opportunity for growth, and every resident is both a student and a teacher.
At the heart of New Thought Village is the belief that we are all interconnected, and that our collective well-being depends on our willingness to support and uplift one another. This means creating spaces for shared learning, spiritual practice, and mutual aid. It means designing our village to be inclusive, accessible, and sustainable. And it means embracing the idea that community is not a static entity but a dynamic, evolving organism that requires care, attention, and love.
We're exploring properties that can serve as the physical foundation for this vision—places like the Sundance Trail Guest Ranch in Red Feather Lakes, Colorado, which offers 137 acres of natural beauty and existing infrastructure that could be adapted for our needs. Or the Colorado Riverfront Guest Ranch in Somerset, with its chapel, guest cabins, and river frontage, providing a serene setting for retreats and gatherings. These are not just real estate opportunities; they are canvases upon which we can paint our collective dreams.
But New Thought Village is more than a physical location; it's a model for how we can live in harmony with one another and the planet. It's about integrating spiritual principles into every aspect of daily life—from the way we build our homes to the way we resolve conflicts. It's about creating economic systems that prioritize well-being over profit, and educational systems that nurture the whole person. It's about recognizing that the personal is political, and that our individual choices have collective consequences.
This vision aligns with the broader goals of the New Thought movement, which emphasizes the power of consciousness to shape reality. As the Affiliated New Thought Network (ANTN) states, their vision is "Connecting the New Thought community through Consciousness and Love" . By creating a physical community that embodies these principles, we can serve as a beacon for others seeking a more compassionate and conscious way of living.
Of course, building such a community is no small feat. It requires resources, planning, and a willingness to navigate the complexities of communal living. But we believe that by coming together with a shared vision and a commitment to mutual support, we can overcome these challenges. We've seen examples of successful intentional communities, like Earthaven Ecovillage in North Carolina, which has been thriving since 1994 with its focus on ecological living and cooperative culture . These models provide valuable insights and inspiration for our own journey.
We're also mindful of the importance of inclusivity and diversity in our community. New Thought Village aims to be a place where people of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences feel welcomed and valued. This means actively working to dismantle barriers to participation and creating spaces where everyone can thrive. It's about recognizing that our differences are not obstacles but opportunities for growth and enrichment.
As we move forward, we invite you to join us in this endeavor. Whether you're interested in becoming a resident, contributing your skills and resources, or simply staying informed about our progress, there's a place for you in New Thought Village. Together, we can co-create a community that serves as a living testament to the power of love, consciousness, and collective action.

In the spirit of unity and possibility,
Thank you for sharing this vision and for the reference to Earthaven. I have been richly blessed to have lived in intentional communities quite similar to New Thought Village for 25 years, and I am seeking another such opportunity. Love to participate here and contribute in any possible way. BTW I was also blessed to serve as managing editor of Communities Journal of Cooperation in the mid 1980s and cofounded what is now the Foundation for Intentional Community https://ic.org
